It's been a long time since I was here....

This adorable little granddaughter is now 1. She is growing literally like a weed. Life speeds by so fast, I can barely stand it. Her mom made this adorable little outfit for her and it is so very cute.

Not to be outdone, her brother is becoming quite the little man. He is all about his sister and his guitar. Spring and summer has great promise for lots of fun.
My life seems to find little time for sewing, painting and crafting. I miss these leading men of my life. Gardening haunts my thoughts but the weather has yet to cooperate. Somethings gotta change. I need to create, maybe today....will let you know later....will post pics if it happens....but first the long put off taxes....see you soon, I promise....

Something New

I tried something new and my Grand daughter Julianna is modeling it. I can crochet but not all that well...or so I thought. I found this pattern and made it in an evening. Pretty good for me. I can't even make a potholder in an evening. My sister Jeanne should be impressed by this as she is a speed crochet master. I however just enjoy the journey.
On another note, starting up the fall home crafting again. I need to get to it. Sure has been a fun summer. Lots of places to talk about and stories to share. I feel rejuvenated or should feel rejuvenated for fall. So for now it's more scrub hats and painting projects and maybe a few cutsie little girl hats for my dear Juju.

He’s a Senior
Being the parent of a high school senior is so much fun. This young man that has been the whole of your life is growing up and is on the brink of the world. You have done what you can and now he goes out to greet the world. You watch him making more and more decisions, doing more and more independently, being a real human and contributing to society. Those many questions of can he make it in the world and will he contribute start to be answered. You realize that in fact he is a man, he will make a difference, he can make it on his own. But for now we celebrate with him as he finishes an amazing baseball season, celebrates with friends and makes plans for the future. Christopher it has been an amazing ride, watching you grow from boy to man…
