Summer flies by
I cannot believe how fast summer if flying by. The wedding is past and Labor Day is gone. We are just flying into Fall. My fascination with sewing is continuing. This is a past love and one that is recieving renewed interest with me now. In the past I usually made clothing items or household stuff like curtains and pillows. Now it's purses and tote bags. I love them and will post more pics soon. Just leaving this note to say I am not far away but having computer problems and they are not soon resolved. Be back soon. As always Sue

FUN NEW STUFF

I have listed the black and white pursefrom the last post on Etsy. So jump on over and take a look. I'm also showing off a little with pictures of my latest bag. This one is for the Basic Grey Magnetic Board used by scrapbookers. This board measures 15x15 inches and fits in most nothing out there. I was approached by a friend from the local scrapbook store, thanks Keri, to make it and after some trial and error (first photo, to small) we have a winner (second photo). The prototype is proudly for sale at ScrapBooks Galore and More. I am making more and this is exciting. I am actually selling them. Always love it when you can make a little cash doing what you love. So off to the store for more stuff to make more bags. I think I'll list the smaller bag on Etsy. You could easily use it to carry albums or paper or stuff.
It's been a busy time here. Taught Vacation Bible School last week. That was like having another job. Boy do I give credit to teachers. But those little faces and the learning about Jesus our Forever Friend was great. Anthony my soon to be Grandson loved it as well. We even had our picture in the VBS Gazette or whatever they called it. Weather has been warmer here and all the rain make those weeds just grow and grow so lots of yard work as well.
My son Chris leaves for Mackinaw Island this week for the Michigan Youth Convention for Lutherans. He will have such a great time. It is amazing the empowerment you get when in the company of so many who believe the same things you do. I pray for them all.
Well we are off to the Tiger Ball game today so hope for sunshine. I really hate getting wet at the game, and we get to see the house my daughter is buying, I think. Should be a fun and busy afternoon. TTFN

What a Wonderful Summer Weekend
This has been a wonderful summer weekend, now it's back to work and back to the week. Had dinner with my kids yesterday and built a fire in the backyard. Finished up another purse sewing project and hope to get it posted somewhere real soon. I have been visiting Pink Lemonade Boutique a lot lately and enjoying the time spent there. You should take a peak http://pinklemonadeboutiquebags.blogspot.com/ I really don't know how to make the name turn into a link and just take you there but this is the link.
She is holing a contest giveaway and you really should visit and mention who took you to the website.

Just listed on Etsy
It's been quite some time since last I was here. So much has happened. Ben and Jessica had their wedding shower and that was so nice and such fun and they received such wonderful presents that it is just amazing. The weather is finally getting nice and we have flowers growing and I am having a great time planting and getting dirty.
This is my project for today. I got sent home from work early and got to work and made another purse. I really like this one also and really like polka dots this season. I think it looks like summer and that makes me happy. Take a look and let me know what you think.

This is my newest project. I am in love love love with it. This new fascination with purses is just the bomb and I am loving it.
On another note tomorrow starts my latest online art class. This one is Portraits with Paullette Insall. I can't wait.
Been doing a lot of cooking this afternoon. Just the whole domestic thing I guess. Potato soup and lemon pie. Yum Yum. Well gotta go exercise because that whole cooking thing will definitely take it's toll on my waist. TA TA for Now.

I know it's been a long time since my last post here. But you can see by my flickr page at the right that I have accomplished something. I did get caught up and posted my Organic Backgrounds homework. I am not that thrilled with the project but am thrilled with the process, I just need to lose the heavy hand. I tend to get a little to dramatic with the color contrasts and that tends to take over my project. I have another one in the works and will post when that is finished. Cooking for Easter and just hanging out with the boys here. Blessings on your Easter.
